Our Mission

StolenMotorJA was established in 2015 with a simple mission: to create a centralized database for stolen vehicles in Jamaica, helping owners recover their property and reducing vehicle theft across the island.

Motor vehicle theft is a significant problem in Jamaica. Many stolen vehicles are never recovered because there's no efficient way for potential buyers to check if a vehicle has been reported stolen. Our platform bridges this gap by providing a free, accessible service for all Jamaicans.

By allowing anyone to easily check if a vehicle has been reported stolen before purchasing, we aim to:

• Discourage vehicle theft by making it harder to resell stolen vehicles
• Help vehicle owners recover their stolen property
• Protect consumers from unknowingly purchasing stolen vehicles
• Support law enforcement efforts in combating vehicle theft

If your vehicle is stolen, report it to our database by filling out a simple form. Once approved, your vehicle will be searchable in our system.

Our Story

StolenMotorJA was founded by a small team of technology enthusiasts who themselves had experienced vehicle theft. After struggling to recover their own vehicles, they recognized the need for a centralized, digital solution in Jamaica.

Starting with a simple database and basic search functionality, the platform has grown to include email notifications, mobile support, and comprehensive statistics. Today, StolenMotorJA has helped recover dozens of stolen vehicles and prevented many more thefts through its deterrent effect.

While we operate independently, we maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies and insurance companies, working together to combat vehicle theft across Jamaica.
